Requesting a custom offer
Customers have two entry points (both can be toggled in settings):
- Product page: a “Request a Custom Offer” button under Add to Cart. The request popup opens with the product pre-selected.
- Seller profile: a button on the seller’s store page (e.g. a Dokan store). The popup opens without a product; the customer may optionally pick one of the seller’s products.
The request form asks what the customer needs, their budget, and a timeframe. Sellers never see a request button on their own products, and suspended sellers receive no requests.
Logged-out visitors see a login link instead of the button. By default it points to the My Account login page and returns the visitor to the same page after logging in; the target URL is configurable in settings.
Receiving and accepting an offer
When a seller sends an offer, the customer is notified by email (and sees a live offer card in chat, if Better Messages is active). The offer shows the description, feature list, delivery time, price breakdown, and expiration countdown. The customer can:
- Accept & Checkout: goes straight to payment. Acceptance is re-validated server-side (expiry, ownership), and clicking twice never duplicates anything.
- Decline: ends the offer and notifies the seller.
- Do nothing: the offer expires automatically at its expiration date.
My Account dashboard
Everything is also available without chat or email: My Account → Custom Offers lists the customer’s requests and offers with their live statuses and actions.
